Andy & Sasha Citino and Stevie Aaron
The boi’s of “Butchlesque” descended on 6S Boutique today. Proprietors Andy & Sasha Citino were on-hand to give our Gulfport contestants guidance on fashion & stage presence. Aside from the fact that their shop is the preeminent supplier to the drag / transgender community of central Florida, Andy was also a nationally recognized male illusionist for many years. He is well-versed in wow-ing an audience! 6S Boutique and the Citino’s have been solidly behind “Butchlesque” since its’ inception. They even allowed us to use their store as a location for one of our promotional video’s, and they appeared in the video, as well. We’re very pleased to have them as a sponsor of “Butchlesque” again!
Also present for the contestants’ questions & concerns was our Official Butchlesque Contestant Liaison, Vinnie Marconi. Vinnie participated in the first-ever “Butchlesque” show, which laid the foundation for his entry into the drag king world. Just one month after “Butchlesque”, Vinnie nailed the title of “Mr. Chill Chamber”! We’re so happy to have had a place in Vinnie’s history, and we know that his expertise is invaluable to our show.
So what exactly happened when our “Butchlesque” contestants got together? Well, Wardrobe Consultant A.A. entertained their costuming proposals, while Andy & Sasha showed the boi’s some great accessories. The butches also got great ideas for “blinging” their attire!
Franki Markstone Jaton came out to 6S Boutique, especially to demonstrate how to work the audience for those “Crowd Favorite” votes. Then, each of the boi’s took a turn on the virtual runway, so that they could get constructive feedback from this stellar group of experts.
The afternoon at 6S Boutique WAS a success, and our contestants are well on their way to bringing you some fantastic personal interpretations of butch identity at Gulfport Casino Ballroom on June 2nd!
